Island of Maui

Using age-old techniques, glass artists Chris Richards and Chris Lowry magically create incredible works of art from glowing hot, molten glass. Hot Island Glass is more than just a showcase for fabulous vases, bowls, and glass sculptures that defy imagination—it’s also a studio where you can watch the glassblowers at work. Raw, clear glass is melted in a 2300 degree furnace and gathered onto the end of a hollow blowpipe. Shape and color are built on layer by layer until the final piece de resistance is achieved. Don’t miss it. It’s the hottest show in town!
