Island of Kauai

What could be more tropical and romantic than Rodgers & Hammerstein’s legendary classic musical SOUTH PACIFIC? Many movies have been filmed on Kaua‘i, but none have quite captured the magic of the original 1950s film version, which starred Mitzi Gaynor and Rossano Brazzi. It’s considered by many to be the movie that brought Hollywood to Kaua‘i. Today, Kaua‘i has brought back the live stage production (based on the original Broadway show) as a Dinner and Theater production. The show includes all the favorite songs such as “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair,” “Bali Ha‘i,” “There’s Nothin’ like a Dame,” “Some Enchanted Evening” and many more. Produced by Alain Dussaud and the Hawai‘i Association of Performing Arts, the show features a stellar, local cast and a dinner buffet is included. Wednesday night at the Kaua‘i Beach Resort in Lihu‘e.
